Chelsea Rose

Geraldton, Western Austraila.

Growing up at the Abrolhos Islands and in the coastal town of Geraldton, it seems only natural that my work is inspired by nature and the sea.

I continuously find myself in awe of the detail in nature. Leaves, seaweed, shells and other collected bits and bobs fill the shelves and walls of my studio. I find biology quite interesting and often draw inspiration from maths in nature.

I like to experiment with a range of mediums including paper, fabric, timber, inks, dyes, artline, watercolour and printmaking. It is well known that creativity is all about play. Through my own creative practice- I like to encourage others to allow themselves time and freedom to explore new territories and ideas.

Our environments can make quite an impact on how we think and feel, which is why I feel it's important to to create happy spaces through making and crafting beautiful, inspirational patterns and products.
