Graduate Student and Marketing Assistant in Argyle, Texas
In May of 2015, I graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Interdisciplinary studies. During my time as anundergraduate student, I became a member of the Mizzou chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists. I also served on the executive board as the Mentorship Co-Chair.
In August 2014, I worked as a student reporter at the NABJ National Convention in Boston, MA. I wrote stories for the student-run website at the convention.
In my junior year, I was the Multimedia Intern at Inside Columbia magazine. I wrote weekly blogs, produced videos, and wrote for the January issue of the magazine.
I also worked as a media department member of the Missouri Student Unions. I wrote scripts and acted in videos made to promote events at the Student Center and Memorial Student Union.
I am a Graduate Student working towards a Masters of Journalism degree at the University of North Texas. I currently work at UNT's Frank and Sue Mayborn Institute of Journalism as a Marketing assistant. My expected graduation date is in May of 2017.
My goal is to work as a Multimedia Journalist at a magazine.
