Hiya! I’m Chelsea Marie!

So where do I begin? I guess I can start off with a little about me. I'm 22 years old from North Carolina, but I'm originally from Florida. I lived in Florida most of my life until I was 15 before moving to Carolina. Funny thing is, I'll be going back to Florida this spring, 2017 to start my first year of college at the university level. I'll be going to Florida A & M in Tallahassee, which most know it's a predominantly black institution of higher learning, aka, a black college/university. After high school I fell short of qualifying to attend college by a couple core classes, mainly in science and math. Discouraged, I didn't even decide to go the junior college route in order to take care of this so I could attend a university down the road. Instead, I went to work part time and decided to pursue my modeling career. I modeled off and on throughout my childhood and even into my teen years, but never got serious about it. After high school I decided to get serious about it since I wasn't going the college route (at that time). The modeling picked up, I got several portfolio shoots, a couple magazine publications and infomercials as an extra, but the part time job route got old. So I decided to go back to school. I enrolled in a local junior college this last summer and took care of all my core classes in just one semester. I started applying to universities all over the south and Florida A&M fell in my lap. They had the best tuition rates and was the closet university to me that I was accepted to. So the choice was clear. I also got a discount on tuition because I was non-African American and black universities are trying to increase their enrollments of other races to diversify. I'm now going to be a (Lady) Rattler this upcoming spring semester where I'll be majoring in Business.

I'm excited to get moving on with my life and start this new chapter. I'm ready to take on the world!!! I'm also going to continue modeling and see where that goes.
