I’m Chelsea Mangwiro a Writer, Director, and Production Designer on a mission to make African stories louder, bolder, and unmistakably ours. From the creative hubs of Zimbabwe to versatile sets across South Africa, Rwanda, Namibia, Kenya, and Uganda I’ve built worlds, sparked dialogue, and brought deeply rooted, unapologetically African narratives to life.

My work moves between mediums; film, TV, and commercials but the heartbeat is the same: legacy, identity, and transformation. As a director, I ask questions that stir. As a designer, I build visual languages that feel lived-in and true. From color palettes to cultural textures, I craft immersive environments that do more than look good they carry meaning.
