Rather than give you a story written by some stranger, I thought it'd be best to write something personally.
My name is Chelsie Smallman, I am a 19 year old singer/songwriter and I mainly cover country songs.

I started singing at the age of 12 in my bedroom. I had a little karaoke machine with a tape recorder attached, and I used to record tapes of me singing Shania Twains greatest hits. I went on a trip to France with the primary school I was in, and the day we came back they were holding a summer fate. They had a mini competition "Pop Idol" and my mum had asked me why I didn't audition. She then proceeded to pay £1 so that I could sing. I had never sung infront of anyone before... and there I was, singing "Unfaithful" by Rihanna. AND I WON! I was ecstatic. And that was the start of my long journey...

My parents started believing in me, and used to make me sing all the time, and at 14, I used to attend an art class with my mum; and the guy who was teaching us, (his name was Richard) gave our number to a woman called Jay Ryan. (Whom I am still very close with). When Jay came out to the house, instead of sitting and talking to her; I ran up the stairs to hide in embarrassment. Eventually, she coaxed me back down and offered me a place on a rock school, called "Torfonix".
At the rock school, there was a band, myself & a tutor. We wrote 3 songs, and then had to perform them infront of a comprehensive school, and THEN at the Duke Of Edinborough Awards. This was the first of many music projects Jay invited me too.

The more projects I went on, the more I found my love for music and performing live. My life completely turned around at 17 when I found out I was pregnant with my now almost 2 year old little boy. Everybody told me my music would be a non-entity and I wouldn't have time to do it. Well, I showed them! Not only do I still get to gig
