One aspect of my life that I often talk a lot about is my baseball career. I was introduced to baseball at age four and since then I have always loved it. I played in recreational leagues up until I was twelve. After that I joined my first travel team which was a step up in competition. I played on various travel teams growing up, and eventually I also joined my high school team. I spent countless hours, weekends, and late nights after school playing baseball. All throughout my career I ran into struggles and obstacles that made me want to quit, whether it was numerous injuries that I had or balancing my school and social life with it. However I would always be reminded about my love for the game every time I stepped on the field. It provided an escape for me from all the other stressful things in my life. Baseball also taught me valuable life lessons such as working past failure since it is one of the easiest sports to fail in. I also learned the importance of teamwork, and I made many lifelong friends that I share many memories with. Unfortunately my career came to an anti-climactic ending as my senior season was cut short due to covid. Even though that was probably the last time I'll ever play competitive baseball, I still try to find time to go to a field and throw or hit some baseballs to remind me of the good times I had.
