Cheri Maisonneuve
**Strategic Planning** She has a passion for people and a rich history of international business experience that she uses to focus on meeting the operational business needs of her organization. Cheri grew up in the heart of the East Kootenays (Cranbrook) and the Cariboo (Quesnel) before globe-trotting to Mexico and France to finish high school. She then moved to Victoria to complete her Bachelors of Commerce at UVIC with a Major in International Business which brought her to Malaysia where she was a Marketing Director for a logistics company in the oil and gas sector. After completing a post-graduate degree focused on political science and economics in Latin America, Cheri accepted the position of Executive Director of the Canada-Peru Chamber of Commerce in Lima, Peru. A few years later, she went on to finish her MBA in Paris, France, which ultimately led her back to BC as the Manager, Sales & Community Relations, Corporate Development Div. with BC Ferries. She then entered the BC Public Service in 2006 as the Manager, Northeast BC Initiatives, Aboriginal Relations Branch, Marketing, Aboriginal & Community Relations Div. and led teams in First Nations consultation and negotiations for resource development in Northeast BC. She now resides with her husband and son in Quesnel BC and works in the Ministry of Children & Families as the Strategic Planning Manager for the North Region.
