Hello, my name is Cheries Dupee and I Am a Survivor. A survivor of widowhood, that is. In 2005 I suffered from the sudden tragic loss of my wonderful loving husband of twenty-seven years, and remarkable father. One thing I know for sure, is that you never plan to be a widow, and especially at forty-five years old. When I lost my husband, the pain was so agonizing until I became paralyzed with fear and anxiety. Each day after, I feared the possibility of death myself. I prayed for God to calm my spirit and give me guidance and direction. Along with the fear of being a single parent of an only child, and the absence of family where I lived, I knew that being angry and crying a river, was not going to bring my husband Phil back. I needed to calm and to console myself, so that I could finish the daunting task of raising our fourteen year old daughter Jazmine. Nightly, my greatest fear of being alone became my tormenting companion. A conflicting energy of the known and unknown was competing to the point where it drained me. I know all too well the horrid stress that comes with losing a spouse, and for this reason, I wanted to help other widows, but I was not sure how I was going to accomplish it. I have been on a journey for years trying to decide how I could help widows along with others who have suffered from trauma. I always knew I wanted positive affirmations along with pictures, but did not know how that looked. God sent me a message at 3:00 a.m. one morning and said my help to others will be in the form of a coloring book. At that precise moment, everything came together, and that is how the coloring book came to be. The book title,Tweet This Zen That, means that the quotes are tweetable and the drawings are calming. No matter where a person’s darkness comes from, they need to know there is light! Anyone that has experienced stress can benefit from the coloring book.

The first coloring book that I have created sets itself apart because it has a combination of James Allen, a British philosophical writer, along with my own creation.
