Welcome to WSU! My name is Cherise Wade and I am one of the many orientation counselors for the summer! I am a senior majoring in Social Sciences with a minor in Global Studies and pursuing a global leadership certificate. I love all things WSU, a good conversation, and coffee!
How many people are in your family? Who are they?
I have 6 people in my family; Dad, Mom, Stepdad, and 3 older brothers!
Where is your favorite place to study?
My favorite place to study is in the quiet lounge in the Compton Union Building! It's relaxing to grab some coffee and get my work done!
What is your fondest WSU memory thus far?
My fondest memory would have to be mom's weekend and dad's weekend my first year. It was so fun to see everyone around with their parents!
What was your first day of classes like?
The first day was definitely overwhelming, yet in a positive light. It was thrilling to be in a college setting and start a new journey at WSU.
What advice do you have for new cougar parents?
My advice to new cougar parents is to always ask questions! OC's and staff have tons of resources avaiable to you and your student so please don't hesitate.
