"The Fashion design world is one of creativity, reinvention and self expression. A single garment can be a history lesson, a voice to social reform, political propaganda, a trip around the world or the representation of a particular feeling or emotion. With fashion design, I can be a painter, a sculptor, a social activist or best of all, I can be me. like other arts its a challenging community to be a part of, to make your voice heard and stand out as an individual. But nothing is impossible."
Cherith attended the Art Institute of Toronto (AiTo) where her foundation in design and production were solidified then went on to attend the Richard Robinson Academy of Haute Couture specializing in haute couture sewing techniques and graduating Cum Laude.
Apart from her educational experience, Cherith’s talent has been developed through years of internships and personal clients. Events including an annual show put on the Black Student Association at the University of Toronto as well as the Harry Jerome Awards organized by the Black Business and Professional Association. More recently, Cherith has assumed a position as fashion instructor at U for Change; which falls under the Prince’s Charities Canada banner.
