I am a full time student majoring in health science with a minor in nutrition and food science. I moved to California about 5 years ago from Delaware. Growing up in a small town and moving to such a big, diverse city was a life changing experience for me. It made me more independent and fed my craving for knowledge. I enjoy learning about other cultures and hearing people's life experiences. I am an advocate for making sure all people have the right to all dimensions of health.
Music and being physically active are favorite things. I find that music really speaks to me emotionally and has helped me through some rough times. I consider yoga and hiking to my recreational physical activity. I make it a must to go to the gym at least 3 times a week for a good intense work out.
I am currently just your typical struggling student where hope lies at the end of tunnel: graduation. I often get the question: What do you want to do afterwards? or Where do you see yourself in 5 years? My answer: No Clue. I have found that you never end up where you think and if you set your mind to only that outcome, disappointment is sure to follow. I am currently working on the present and finding myself before I can decide where I want to end up.
