Cherry Frondozo

Research Assistant in Hong Kong

More than eight years research experience in settings such as the academe, government hospitals and a human rights organization. I have presented papers on trust and reputation, evaluation of stress management programs and parenting in national and international conferences. Through my work experience and education, I have been exposed to fields such as counselling psychology and guidance counselling, social and cognitive neuroscience, neuroeconomics, development studies and social psychology. These varied interests allow me to engage in more interdisciplinary research, allowing the strengths of different fields to contribute to an end product that is able to highlight strengths coming from different perspectives.

I want research to be able to create programs and interventions that cater to the needs of people. Whether it be exploring the barriers to women empowerment, barriers to enrollment in higher education, or how to bring about effective strategies in managing emotions, I want to do research that contributes to existing knowledge of the field and creates a tangible impact in the future.

When I'm not trying to look for questions to answer, in my free time, I love to travel and learn about other cultures.I also like reading, cooking, playing board games and going to the beach.
