✼Unavailable for Hire✼
A native of Houston and proud Texan, Cheryl Pitre is a Healthcare Consultant and Managing Director/Lead Strategist for Collaborategic, a cooperative consulting firm. Equipped with a passion for people, an impeccable work ethic and a rare skill set, Cheryl leads, trains and coaches teams in Risk Management/Patient Safety best practices.
Operating from a continuous improvement paradigm and harvesting a wealth of diverse experiences, Cheryl is an innovative and collaborative problem-solver – one who is incessantly looking, learning, and leveraging resources to develop team players (and optimize collaboratives).
An established healthcare leader in risk management, adult teaching strategies and perioperative nursing, Cheryl studied at the University of Texas (Medical Branch) before accepting a direct commission into the Air Force (2000-2004). Adept at “hitting the ground running”, her demonstrated commitment to the safest delivery of quality care quickly earned her base-wide recognition and respect as the content expert and thought leader concerning patient centeredness and perioperative matters – including patient safety, risk avoidance/mitigation, logistics, strategic planning, policies, guidelines and best practices. At the (then) second-largest Air Force Medical Center, “Captain” Pitre successfully reorganized and led the 81st Medical Group’s Surgical Services Education & Training program to compliance and readiness; and she went on to create a symbolic award of excellence and continuous improvement in Surgical Services – the P.I.T.R.E. Dish award (a public acknowledgment of an individual’s dedication and improvement in delivering the safest possible healthcare to each surgical patient). This modest honor quickly became highly-coveted among members of the Surgical Services squadron and won accolades from squadron and base leadership.
Following an honorable discharge, Ms. Pitre studied law at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. In response to a challenge, she relocated to North Texas in 2010. Currently residing in Central Texas, she has begun a new chapter as she continues to advocate for the safest delivery of care to all patients. Thus, she offers #Solutions4Silos (via #Bootcamps, classes, etc.) and welcomes opportunities to further educate, train and/or continue the narrative within the healthcare community – as well as to further engage the general public on matters concerning Patient Safety and Clinical Risk Management.
