Mrs. Cheryl Watson
Cheryl Watson hails from Augusta Georgia. She is a retired veteran that served over 20 years in the US Army. Her exemplary leadership in the military earned her several prestigious recognition awards. From 2009 to 2011, she received numerous accolades for her work as the installation commander’s advisor for the prevention of equal opportunity injustices and sexual assault prevention. She was awarded the annual award and trophy for being the “top Army Reserve Recruiter in Atlanta, GA in 2006 and In 1998 she was crowned Ms. AUSA, the Association of the United States Army Fort Benning, GA chapter, for her outstanding contributions and service to the non-profit, educational organization that supports Army Soldiers, Retirees, Government Civilians, Wounded Warriors, Veterans, and family members.
Cheryl has an expansive non-military background that includes working as a retail manager for a large departmen-storet chain, working in the banking industry where she held positions as a teller, head teller and personal banker and she is holds property and casualty insurance adjuster licenses in six states.
Cheryl earned her associate degree from Georgia Military College, her bachelor’s degree in Social Science from Troy State University, and her master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Columbia Southern University. She is currently attending Strayer University and pursuing a Master’s degree in the Executive Human Resources program.
