The professional me… For the first 16 years of my adult life, I had a great career as an Environmental Microbiologist. During that time, I was responsible for data management of the analyses we did in the lab which included designing and maintaining our first databases. We started with Excel spreadsheets and soon moved to an Access Database. Over 10 years, we had several versions of our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), slowly incorporating more information and designing it to be user friendly for our team and for our customers.
So it was an easy decision after losing my position to decide to go into application development. My training is in .Net applications but when I finished my training I landed a position as a Salesforce.com Developer. I am now working as an Administrator for Salesforce.com.

On a more personal note… I am a wife, a mother of two boys, a Catholic, a gamer(pc and board), a Boy Scout volunteer, a cyclist, a hiker, an avid sci-fi fan, a gadget lover and although an owner of a PC I am slowly becoming a fan of Apple products and finally a lover of all things Firefly and so much more but that’s all I can think of right now…
