An educational administrator honored with numerous awards, Dr. Cheryl Lynn de Werff performs duties as an early learning systems specialist with the First 5 California Child Signature Program (CSP) in Fairfield, California. In this capacity, she works closely with a diverse group of students, parents, governmental agencies, and community members to improve the quality of early childhood education programs across the state. Dr. Cheryl Lynn de Werff also provides valuable professional development resources and support for teachers involved in State Preschool, Head Start, and Early Head Start programs.
Before taking up her current responsibilities, Dr. de Werff spent the better part of seven years as a director of professional development and special projects with the Solano County Office of Education (COE). During her time with the Solano COE, she pursued the office’s goals and maintained close communication with the board of education and superintendent. She also developed the Priority ONE Preschool Network and authored "Consolidated Application."
For her efforts in education, Dr. Cheryl Lynn de Werff earned awards from the California Department of Education and the Solano Board of Supervisors as well as official recognitions from the California State Assembly and the California State Legislature. She was also honored with a place on the Wall of Tolerance for three years in a row.
