Chet Lauer

Baseball Coach Age 8-College Level in University Heights, OH

Chet Lauer is a dedicated and accomplished athlete passionate about sports beyond his playing career. He attended Saint Ignatius High School, where he was immersed in Ignatian spirituality and a commitment to social justice. He continued his education at Cuyahoga Community College, where he stood out on the baseball team while studying business, accounting, and communications. Chet also took courses at Saint Peter's University in Jersey City, New Jersey, before ultimately earning his bachelor's degree in communications from John Carroll University.

At John Carroll University, Chet excelled both on the field and in the classroom, earning a place on the Athletic Academic Honor Roll and leading the Blue Streaks baseball team to a conference championship. He has received numerous accolades for his athletic abilities, including 1st Team All-American and the Golden Glove Award.

Outside of his athletic pursuits, Chet is deeply committed to his community and is involved with several charitable organizations. He avidly supports Cleveland sports teams, including the Browns, Cavaliers, and Guardians. He enjoys golf, yoga, and video editing in his free time and is a dedicated triathlon participant.

Chet was born and raised in University Heights, Ohio, and remains a city resident. He comes from a family of John Carroll University graduates, including his father, who played baseball for the school. Chet is proud to call the City of Beautiful Homes his home and continues to give back to his community through his work and charitable efforts.
