Chetan Mallik is currently the the Communications Head for Novartis NBS - India. Based in Hyderabad, Chetan is responsible for the strategic planning, operational execution, and overall leadership of communication for the Novartis offices in Hyderabad.

Prior to Novartis, Chetan was the external and internal communications head for Wells Fargo Enterprise Global Services - India entities which has presence across Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai. After his Masters in English literature and PG diploma in Journalism from IIMC, Chetan began his career as a journalist with the Hindustan Times and went on to work with Deccan Chronicle and the Times of India. As a journalist, Chetan travelled to several parts of the country to report on socio-political issues and popular culture. Some of his articles have been referred to by the UN Environment Program; MAPINC, a worldwide network dedicated to drug policy reform; and Counter Drug Press Summaries, which collates best articles on narcotics in the APAC region.

Between 2004 and 20013, Chetan was arguably the most-awarded professional in Deloitte and managed to retain the same tag at Genpact, which he joined in 2007 to lead communication for its IT functions. Chetan joined back Deloitte in 2010. He was also the recipient of the All Star Gold Medal - highest individual award - at Deloitte for FY12.

In his life outside work, Chetan loves to facilitate external learning and motivational programs and has facilitated programs for Amity University, APREE, NTPC, Cognizant BPS, and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Chetan is quite active on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter and have been writing a blog since 2004. Chetan is also an endurance athlete and loves to participate in long-distance running, cycling and triathlon events.
