Chet Koch

Chet Koch has spent the majority of his adult life (35yrs) in the Casino Industry. Chet began his casino career in 1979 when he joined Resorts International Casino, Atlantic City’s first Casino. In the fall of 1980 Chet joined the Harrah’s Atlantic City team and opened Harrah’s Marina. Chet spent the next five years with Harrah’s Atlantic City progressively moving up in the management ranks. In the spring of 1984 Chet was a member of the opening management team that opened Harrah’s at Trump Plaza.

In the fall of 1985 Chet was recruited by Conrad International Hotels, the international division of Hilton Hotels, to join the management opening team for Jupiter’s Casino in Queensland, Australia. He was transferred to the Reno Hilton in 1987 as a member of the rebranding team that converted the property to the Flamingo Hilton Reno. Chet returned to Atlantic City in the spring of 1990 and joined the Claridge Hotel & Casino management team and remained with the Claridge till the spring of 1993 when he was recruited to return to Harrah’s as a management member of the Harrah’s Joliet opening team.

Over the course of the next 18 months Chet was a team leader for the opening of an additional five riverboat casinos for Harrah’s while at the same time maintaining his management role at the Joliet property. In 1994 Chet was presented with the Harrah’s Chairman’s’ award for Expert skill in recognition of his outstanding service.

In the fall of 1994 Chet was recruited by Hilton Hotels to join the management team operating the temporary casino in Windsor, Ontario. Chet was a senior member of the management team that brought a second temporary casino into operation in the fall of 1995. As the VP of Casino Finance at Casino Windsor Chet lead the transition team that was charged with the orderly shutdown of the two temporary casinos and coordination of the successful opening of the permanent Casino Windsor in the summer of 1998.

During Chet’s time in Canada he was asked by the Ontario Gaming Commission to be the Casino Finance consultant for the opening of Casino Niagara in the fall of 1996 and several Charity Casinos operated by the Ontario government.

In the summer of 2001 Chet was transferred to Caesars Entertainment’s Northern Mid-South Region as the Regional VP of Finance for the Tunica region. He remained in that position until the summer of 2005 when Harrah’s acquired Caesars Entertain
