Mr. Kalita is a Doctoral Research Scholar in the Biological Product Laboratory (BPL), Dept. of Botany, Mizoram University (A central university, accredited as Gr-A by NAAC). Earlier, He was associated with two Department of Biotechnology sponsored major research projects in the Dept. of Botany, Mizoram University, Mizoram, and B.P Chaliha College, Assam respectively. He has co-authored 2 books, 6 book chapters, and 5 research articles (3 in press) in SCI-indexed journals. He has presented 7 research papers in national and international level seminars. The Society of Advance Research in Plant Science (SARPS) honored him as a 'Young Scientist in Plant Sciences' in 2024.His realms of research interest include the Bioprospection of botanicals, phytop-pathological proteomics, nutraceuticals & chemo-serotaxonomy. He also holds the Chief Managing Director (CMD-R&D) position of Chhimora Nutraceuticals Pvt. Ltd.
