Responsible for collaborating on key relationships with credit, sales, product, legal, technology, and marketing groups from pricing and analytics perspectives, Chima Ugwuegbu manages two regions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Commercial Banking DFS division in Atlanta, Georgia, as a Vice President and Product Pricing Manager. Since joining the group in 2010, Mr. Ugwuegbu has driven revenue results via pricing strategies and facilitated RBP model enhancement and technology projects that include testing, implementation, and controls. He has overseen pricing models and design and spearheaded a plan to develop customer-level penetration analytics that resulted in a 15% increase in sales volume. Mr. Ugwuegbu joins the division from his position as Vice President for Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Global Products Solutions (GPS) in Charlotte, North Carolina. Providing structure, analysis, and process for trade, financial institutions, and liquidity products, he developed growth initiatives, which resulted in 11% revenue growth over 1 year. In addition, Chima Ugwuegbu created a process allocating $66 million in annual float revenue to GPS products as well as a 3-year plan for 16 of the division’s products. Prior to completing his MBA at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Chima Ugwuegbu served in increasingly important roles in management and financial consulting with Bank of America. He served as a Financial Analyst for its Northeast Consumer Banking Products and Senior Business Analyst for the Northeast Middle Market Group in various hubs in the Northeast, and Senior Financial Analyst and Assistant Vice President for Regulatory Reporting in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mr. Ugwuegbu has extensive experience conducting research with the Bloomberg Terminal and Workbench, as well as Dow Jones Interactive. He maintains a strong knowledge in GAAP as it applies to the financial services industry, FTP methodology, card services, asset securitization, the mortgage industry, BASEL II, and activity-based costing. Chima Ugwuegbu completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In addition to his MBA, he holds a BA in Economics. He maintains membership in the international professional organization National Black MBA Association, Inc.
