With over 20 years of experience as a technical business writer, Chip Paschal has spent his career working in the Golden State. Working in this challenging environment enabled him to sharpen his writing skills and build a solid knowledgebase in a broad range of technologies.
Chip Paschal was Proposal Manager for Digital Equipment Corporation, managing several marketing communications projects, such as direct mail campaigns, trade show presentations, and industry publication advertising. He created online proposal and presentation templates for the field sales force. Moving on to Quest Software, Inc., as a Technical Publications Manager, Chip Paschal supervised a team of technical writers developing software user manuals and online help forums for the firm’s entire Oracle database management tool system. Serving as a Senior Editor with oversight for numerous publications, he produced a new corporate style guide, as well.
Accepting a position with Epoch Internet of Irvine, Chip Paschal led the redesign effort of the corporate website. He also implemented an abundance of successful direct mail campaigns utilizing thorough testing and analysis. To deepen his marketing knowledge, he attended the University of California, Irvine Extension, and earned a Certificate in Product Marketing. Subsequently, he became a Communications Manager for Pearson Digital Learning and began working in Sunnyvale. In this role, Chip Paschal improved the sales proposal win rate by 34% and oversaw the creation of an e-learning website.
Currently operating in Anaheim, Chip Paschal manages a staff of writers for Extron Electronics. Overseeing a variety of projects for the Extron line of professional AV integration products, he has written web content, white papers, online technical documentation, and marketing collateral. Chip Paschal is a Microsoft Certified Professional and has earned additional AV industry certifications from Extron and InfoComm.
