Chip “Dale” Rosenbloom is the creative force behind a number of films for both the big and small screen. An accomplished producer, director, and screenwriter, Rosenbloom’s film credits include the family favorite Shiloh trilogy; the more serious Intent to Destroy: Death, Denial & Depictionabout the 1915 Armenian Genocide; Across the Tracks, the film that gave Brad Pitt his first starring role; and Fuel,a documentary about America’s addiction to oil that earned him the 2008 Best Documentary Audience Award at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival.
Rosenbloom learned about the film industry from some of the best. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California Film School and a former employee of Aaron Spelling Studios. He leveraged his knowledge to found his own production company, Open Pictures.
In addition to the Sundance award, Rosenbloom was short-listed for an Academy Award forFuel,earned a Tony Award nomination in 2007 for Best Play for his adaptation of August Wilson’s Radio Golf; and won the 2012 SilverDocs award for Best Documentary for Fame High.
Rosenbloom is also a successful songwriter. He has penned songs for popular artists like Sheena Easton and Rita Coolidge. On top of producing the Ovation award-winning theatrical musical, Bronco Billy (2019),Rosenbloom co-wrote the score with co-writer John Torres.The Budapest Symphony recently recorded an album of his instrumental compositions.
