Teacher in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada
Currently, I teach at Oliver Stephens Public School in Woodstock. This year, I am teaching Grade 4/5 for 0.6 of the day and I am the Teacher Librarian for the remainder of the day.
During the past four years of my career I have had the opportunity to teach Primary, Junior and Intermediate grades, placing me in a position to be well versed in all curriculum areas and divisions. I am an educator who continues to have a passion for learning and adapting my teaching pedagogy to meet the needs of all of my students through data driven instruction and professional development.
During the past two years, I have focused on learning more about Special Education as I became the Learning Support Teacher in our school community. In addition, I was able to divide my day as the Teacher Librarian to spearhead the transition of the Library to the Learning Commons and to promote my passion for the use of technology as a learning tool in the 21st century classroom.
I believe that educators and great leaders should constantly be learning, improving and sharing knowledge. I work best in a team setting and believe that everyone has something to offer in team.
