I am a Stockton University undergraduate student currently living in New Jersey. I will be graduating this semester in Marine Science, with a concentration in Marine Biology. My interests range from marine ecosystems to sustainability. I have my open water diving certificate, and CPR certified. I am licensed in New Jersey to operate a small recreational boat (NJ Boating License).I am also interested in all studies of science, fisheries, and sailing.

I wish to take my Bachelor of Science degree, and apply myself to the benefit of the ocean. I hope to work with coral reef restoration and conservation. I would like to conduct research in the Caribbean and the Australian Seas reefs ecosystems. I wish to learn more about what attributes and genes in different organisms that allow them to adapt to the increasing temperatures and acidity in these waters, and how we can implement those genes in possibly others. I would also try and help aid these diverse ecosystems by re- planting reefs with resistant corals, and to help identify the keystone organisms that maintain these ecosystems in check.

My plan on achieving these life goals by working for a non-profit organization to help raise awareness in the Florida Keys to help raise awareness in ocean conservation. I plan to trying to work within the field or become a lab assistant to a Professor studying the coral genealogy of the corals with resistance genes, or within this field. I plan on working on my Diving certificates with the goal of a Master Scuba Diver, or Divemaster. I also plan on working on my Captain’s License for recreational and commercial.
