Happiness at Work, Thought Management, and Stress Management in San Francisco, California
In 1998, while getting his master’s degree in Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, Janardhan (Jay) came to the realization that a life of fulfillment trumps a life of achievement.
His search led him to understanding and researching meditation techniques, which had an immediate impact in bringing a sense of purpose and fulfillment in his life. Since then, he has been a proponent of mindfulness training for people of all ages and backgrounds to identify their purpose and enhance the sense of selfworth. Change in awareness through meditation has proven to improve the quality of personal life and productivity at the workplace.
Jay advocates, through his own life, the importance of slowing down and “being” before “doing”. He has held workshops on stress management and meditation at Google, Gap Inc., PG&E, Dell, Barclays, Infosys, TCS, Amdocs, Hetero Drugs, San Joaquin Hospital, San Francisco County Jail and universities including Stanford, Hawaii, San Diego State, Portland State, Alaska and at the Wasilla High School. He has done workshops in nine countries outside the US.
Jay is currently based in San Francisco and has held senior positions in software companies. He s a personal development expert and trainer with the Brahma Kumaris.
Jay co-produces the annual SPIRIT Summit in India and Peace in the Park festival in San Francisco. He also regularly conducts workshops and seminars at the Anubhuti Retreat Center in Marin County (California), and weekly meditation meetup in San Francisco.
"Jay led a meditation workshop for my Senior Leadership team and their spouses. Some of my leaders were reluctant to participate, but Jay developed an immediate rapport with the entire group. He combined scientific evidence supporting meditation with some introductory practice. The session was a great success." - Tom Davin, CEO 5.11 Tactical
“Jay spoke at our company on numerous occasions, and has brought a level of peace and understanding I rarely get to witness in a high paced startup. A combination of science and spirit, he is able to win over a diverse group quickly. I highly recommend any opportunity to spend some time with Jay." Armen Berjikly, CEO Kanjoya
