Choquette Guiney joined IBM in 1989, beginning her career as a technical engineer in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she provided on-site technical support and sold technical consulting services for the company. Proving her competence and diverse capability, Choquette Guiney then held various management positions with IBM’s business operations, creating financial reports, providing operations support for the executive team, and analyzing financial plan methodology.
Guiney’s subsequent positions with IBM focused on sales and supporting relationships with clients in industries ranging from financial and retail to manufacturing and utilities. For the past two years, Guiney has worked exclusively with energy and utility clients. Well-regarded for her technical expertise as well as her personal connection with clients, Guiney is adept at showing clients how technology impacts their business. Her specific areas of focus include business development and building executive relationships, as well as utilizing technology to serve individual business needs.
Guiney’s success with IBM is undergirded by her strong academic background. In addition to a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Clemson University, she also holds an MBA from Emory University.
