Born Nihal Mamun Akash Zahir Chowdhury in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on August 3, 1944. Nihal Chowdhury was raised in Toronto, Canada. He dropped out of school at age 10 in hopes of becoming the next Abhishek Bachchan. He then somehow managed to get into college despite having dropped out.
