Christopher Yackel

Hi, my name is Christopher Yackel and I am excited to begin my journey as an educator in Social Studies classrooms this Fall. It has been quite a journey in finding a career that I believe is both compatible with my strengths and skillset, but at the same time fulfilling.

Throughout my experiences working in education over the past two years, I believe I have found this fulfilling career in becoming an educator. I know that the skills I posses in being an effective communicator with my peers and students in addition to my strong organization skills and genuine love and appreciation of History make me an ideal candidate for a Social Studies position in your district. Most importantly the ability to make a strong connection and have a positive impact on my students is something I take great pride in. I think the key to becoming a strong and effective educator takes place not only in the classroom, but outside the classroom and being a notable presence in the school community. This is something I plan on doing in your district.

Finally, I understand my lack of experience in education may serve as a deterrent, but for someone like myself who started in the business world and wanted a change, I genuinely want to become not only an educator, but an educator that can truly make an impact and a difference in my students' lives. I will always put 100 percent effort in anything I do and through this process of becoming a Social Studies educator I will do anything I can to not only stand out to your district, but stand out to your students as an educator that provides interesting lessons, activates student interest and shows a caring, understanding and firm demeanor.
