MPP for Newmarket-Aurora.
Chris is passionate about communities. As a Councillor with the Town of Aurora he advocated for sustainable communities. As a member of the Ontario Legislature his focus has been on the need for complete communities. Before politics Chris was president of a public affairs company for more than 25 years, following a career in print journalism.
At Queen's Park, Chris is Minister of Housing and Minister Responsible for the Province's Poverty Reduction Strategy. Before being named to Cabinet, Chris was Parliamentary Assistant to both the Minister of Government and Consumer Services and the Minister responsible for the province's Poverty Reduction Strategy.
Chris was raised in nearby King City, (pop. 800) and has lived in the Newmarket-Aurora area for almost 30 years. He is married, with three adult children.
