Chris is the Co-founder and CEO of multi-award winning live streaming agency, Streaming Tank.
After leaving university, Chris started his career within magazine publishing, working through the ranks in both corporate and consumer publishing before moving into music publishing at Boosey & Hawkes, the world’s oldest and largest independent music publishers.
The previously underperforming media music division was, within 4 years, the dominant entity within the market with offices and partners in 42 countries managing and collecting for composers and their estates, 6 media music studios for specially composed music, 12 music libraries and a network that not only collected revenue for the companies own composers but also the music rights for numerous other publishers. The division looked after every genre of music but excelled in classical music, holding the media music rights for 72% of all classical tracks still in copyright, including Aaron Copland, Rachmaninoff, Elgar, Karl Jenkins, Maxwell Davies, Benjamin Britten, Harrison Birtwistle, Igor Stravinsky, Richard Strauss, Elliott Carter, John Adams and Leonard Bernstein.
After Boosey & Hawkes, Chris founded two major creative agencies, Smoking Toad and Creative Tank which eventually moved under the umbrella of leading live streaming agency, Streaming Tank.
The rest, as they say, is history.
More recently, Chris has been voted as one of the most influential members of the Streaming Industry and a member of the streaming ‘Dream Team’.
Chris now spends much of his time with Streaming Tank operations between the UK, US and around the world. He is an active member of the Innovation Forum, an organisation backed by the UK and US government to look at the future of the entertainment and digital industries and an industry strategy and business advisor on the convergence of streaming and social.
Chris is also involved in wildlife conservation around the world, especially in Africa, and Asia as well as multiple initiatives with education and the use and sharing of information within some of the poorest communities in the world.
