Marketer, Director, and Google Partner in England, United Kingdom
I'm a marketing professional and entrepreneur, I love what I do and I love having fingers in pies. Figuratively speaking. I began Absolute Creative in 2007 to make top quality design and marketing accessible to local businesses. We provided online and offline marketing expertise to a wide range of companies, large and small.
In 2010 I added the only franchise in Gloucestershire of Printing.com on to Absolute. This evolved, we embraced market leading web2print template technology and became GloucesterPrintShop.co.uk, the only web2print shop to buy print online in Gloucester.
In 2015 our website experience and expertise was recognised and Absolute Creative became the first independent partner of Nettl.com. Nettl is a nationwide brand of high street based web studio's. The model reflects a shift in new business owners priorities. I liked the concept, the stronger infrastructure, the team of geeks and the business continuity benefits for our clients. I was proud to add Gloucester to the list of first few Nettl's alongside London, Dublin, Manchester and Birmingham.
Absolute wasn't my first business. I saw an opportunity to purchase the Freehold, on behalf of all the residents, in the block of flats I bought a property within, in 2001. I was told raising the funds necessary would be impossible. Challenge accepted. I still run some property management businesses looking after that block and a couple more.
I was accredited by City Council as an Entrepreneurial Ambassador of the City and an advocate and speaker about the Apprenticeship Schemes with the college, taking on a first Marketing Apprentice with the college.
I'm a supporter of all things Gloucester, am actively involved in the "FourGates of Gloucester" project, a not for profit social enterprise set up for the benefit of local businesses. I also voluntarily work on and produce the local MyChurchdown magazine and am a Governor and Chair of Finance at a School local to me in Churchdown.
Closer to home, I'm a husband to Louise, dad to two beautiful daughters (I'm allowed to be biased, right?) and small scale chicken keeper. Precious downtime is spent with the family and/or on some latest project or great idea I've hatched. Other interests include Liverpool FC, Cheltenham Town FC and motorbikes.
I was bought a little piece of land on a Natural Park estate in Scotland affords me to actually use the title of Laird!
