A researcher at Intel Labs Europe, I currently work on connecting mobile devices, sensors, and networks to the cloud. I have the unique position of being an experienced mobile developer, with a wealth of experience in cloud infrastructure and development. I have both technical and management experience. As a proactive technologist I have created by own mobile and web applications and have spoken on no-SQL solutions at Google developer events.
My 9 years of mobile experience have allowed me to be involved in creating devices, operating systems and applications for companies such as Nokia, Symbian, and Kodak.
As a former Program Manager at Microsoft I gained management experience, I drove my team's core strategy; increasing the breadth, quality and efficiency of our contribution winning Microsoft Europe's Engineer Excellent award and releasing my divisions first open source contribution. I created tools and services in Microsoft to better support mobile devices for Bing, Hotmail, MSN and Windows Live. My open source contribution was used by several exclusive retailers and large banks. I gained fantastic Agile and DevOps experience.
My time working on Windows Azure provides me with the unique experience of not just building cloud applications, but building the cloud itself.
In my current role as researcher I have the opportunity to combine my experiences in both cloud and mobile - researching how to best connect the two technologies together.
