Chris Kypriotis is widely regarded as one of the most respected and creative business leaders in global sport. As a key innovator within one of the Fortune 500’s most innovative companies, Chris has helped create and change the business landscape through sport in each of the markets he has lived and worked in around the world over the past 25 years.
Most recently as the Global VP and CEO of Nike in Brazil, Chris was responsible for leading Nike’s integrated commercial growth, marketplace development & overall brand strategy; overseeing its entire operations in this critical market. He had direct leadership and responsibility of all of Nike Brazil's financial results ($1Billion+ Revenues); also directly responsible for all departments: Sales (including Digital Commerce), Retail, Product Development, Supply Chain, Logistics, Demand Creation, Sports Marketing, HR, Corporate & Gov't Affairs, Legal, as well as the entire scope of the strategic planning leading up to World Cup '14 in Brazil, the Summer Olympics Rio'16, and the Nike Brazil 10 year Business Plan. Chris pioneered many of Nike Brazil's Ground Breaking Initiatives including the Football Attack Plan, sponsorship of the Brazilian Olympic Committee, as well as "Nike/Rio Infusion Plan" leading to many collaborations, between, Nike and some of the City's most iconic locations. As one of the 30 most senior leaders at Nike Inc., Kypriotis also served as part of Nike’s Global Corporate Leadership Team; he helped lead the creation of Nike’s overall Global Operating Strategy.
Prior to his roles at Nike, Kypriotis was CEO (LATAM) & Global VP at Billabong Inc. He was responsible for bringing the Group's brands to leadership positions in their markets and made them iconic within youth sport/culture. In his role as Global VP Chris was key in all Group Strategic Decision making; including brand acquisitions, retail development, corporate structure, etc.
