Diagnosed Stage 2A testicular cancer Oct 16, 1996 at the age of 33
- 2 surgeries and 2 rounds of chemotherapy, treated at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, TX
- 4 additional abdominal surgeries since, non-cancer but related to previous treatments

Founded the Testicular Cancer Resource Center (http://tcrc.acor.org) late 1996, over 1M visitors
- First “all aspects” resource for TC survivors of its kind
- Met Lance Armstrong via email after he visited the site, lead to interview / friendship

Co-founded Cyclists Combating Cancer with Damon Phinney
- Online support group / fundraising group, has raised over $3M for LIVESTRONG

One of the original volunteers for the Lance Armstrong Foundation (now LIVESTRONG) - 1997
- First web designer and cancer advocate
- Very experienced event organizer – bike rides, concerts, running events, etc

Founded, designed, and ran LanceArmstrong.com in 1998
- ESPN the Magazine’s athlete website of the year (2000)

Long-time cycling journalist for Lance Armstrong and his pro cycling teams
- Teams USPS, Discovery Channel, Astana, and RadioShack
- Covered the Tour de France 14 times, written hundreds of articles and produced dozens of videos on cycling (and cancer)

Rode across USA with Lance and other member of the cancer community in 2003 on the Tour of Hope
- Athlete / journalist support for 2004-2005 programs

Joined LIVESTRONG Foundation full-time in March 2004
- Initially split between cycling journo and LAF IT staff
- Took over Grassroots Fundraising in 2008 then Development Communications in 2010
- Currently Deputy Director of External Affairs, overseeing high profile Foundation representatives
- Frequent guest speaker and video / photography / written content producer for LIVESTRONG, as well as executing many special projects
