Chris Cain Fort Worth has dedicated nearly 30 years to the long-term care and hospice field. Throughout his career, he has held senior roles, managing hiring, training, team development, patient care quality, financial oversight, sales, marketing, regulatory compliance, and business operations. He has played a leading part in starting assisted living facilities, hospice agencies, and a hospital.
As CEO, CFO, and Administrator of St. Gabriel’s Hospice & Palliative Care, he created a culture built on “People Caring for People.” He and his team focused on providing care that addressed both physical comfort and emotional and spiritual support. Since 2012, he has grown St. Gabriel’s into a hospice agency caring for 300 patients with over 200 employees. The organization serves communities across Texas, including Fort Worth, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Lubbock, Houston, San Angelo, Corpus Christi, and Tyler. He oversees budgets, HR practices, recruiting, operations, accounting, and sales strategies.
Earlier, he served as Regional Director of Operations at a management group, where he was responsible for four Alzheimer’s care communities in North Texas. Under his leadership, the census increased by 14% in the first quarter, net operating income rose above 90% in most locations, and staffing and cost controls improved. As CEO of a Medicare-licensed hospice agency, he led the organization to profit margins averaging in the 20% range and reached break-even after eight months. During his tenure, the agency expanded to serve 100 patients and opened locations in San Antonio and Austin.
Chris Cain, Clear Fork Group, has also held roles as Executive Director, Area Director of Sales and Marketing, Marketing Representative, and Hospital Administrator. In these positions, he managed hospital construction, developed referral networks, and led teams across multiple states.
Chris Cain Hospice earned a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Gerontology from Southern Nazarene University. He and his wife have children and grandchildren. A devoted Catholic, he values compassion and respect in his work. In his free time, he enjoys caring for Texas Longhorn cattle and Quarter Horses on his ranch, as well as sports, hunting, fishing, and traveling.
