Chris Carusone joined the Harrisburg office of Cohen, Seglias, Pallas, Greenhall & Furman PC as a partner in 2014. He chairs the firm’s Government Law & Regulatory Affairs and Energy & Utilities Groups and is a member of the Labor & Employment Group. Over the course of his career, Chris Carusone has counseled a wide range of institutional and government entities during investigations and enforcement proceedings.
His professional background includes over 20 years of experience in the public sector, most recently including a term as Secretary of Legal Affairs under former Pennsylvania governor Tom Corbett. During his tenure, Chris Carusone was deeply involved in drafting energy policy. He continues to maintain active membership in the Pennsylvania Independent Oil and Gas Association, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, and the Marcellus Shale Coalition Legal Committee.
Previously, Chris Carusone was a Chief Deputy Attorney General in the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Criminal Law Division for seven years. During his previous roles as a general counsel for the Pennsylvania State Police and Office of Inspector General, he accumulated extensive experience in administrative investigations regarding discrimination, fraud, and misconduct. Early in his career, he prosecuted a diverse range of criminal trials with the Office of the District Attorney.
Chris Carusone completed his undergraduate studies at Providence College, where he received a BS in business. He went on to earn a JD from Widener University School of Law, where he participated in the Law Review and Moot Court Honor Society.
