Chris Dell covers the Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center for The New York Times "BK Local" blog, reporting on the return of pro sports to the borough and its impact on the community.

He got his first journalism gig at age 15, writing the weekly "Sports 4 Kids" column for the Herald-Tribune in 2003 and eventually serving as social media coordinator for the paper's startup website, HtPreps.com.

Chris has since been published across the country by media outlets such as The New York Times, ESPN, Yahoo!'s Rivals.com, Gotham Gazette, The Ledger, Naples Daily News, Philly.com, New York Press, JJIE.org and AOL's Patch.com.

He's a regular hip hop columnist for Et Cetera Magazine in Central Florida and serves as the NYC correspondent for "Out of Bounds" on WTMY 1280 AM The Sports Fanatic in Sarasota.
