Chris Forbes

Born in Yorkshire, England in 1973. Through my family I was introduced to the business of luxury products in both the textile and gourmet food industries. Educated in England and Paris, Chris graduated in 1995 with a BA (Hons) in Marketing and languages. After University I went to work in the City of London for very competitive positions in two high profile Investment banks, Singer & Friedlander and then Investec Asset Management, running the marketing departments of both retail and institutional asset classes. From 2004-2006 he developed an absolute return strategy for UK and European charities, creating a business portfolio valued at more than $30 million dollars. I moved to Portugal just over five years ago with my Portuguese wife and three children to explore a new avenue in life and execute a burning desire to work with wine. I am now responsible for special projects within the Fladgate Partnership, covering areas as diverse as reducing the group’s carbon imprint, NPD, to the active promotion and marketing of Port wines.
