I am defined by the persons around me. My family is the reason I have made it to this point. I am so blessed to have such a strong support system, without whom, I would not be in the place I am today. I am the eldest of six children, which has always endowed upon me a sort responsibility. This is not the type of responsibility that I see as a burden, though; I am glad to have it in my life. My siblings have always been a source of entertainment and there was never a dull moment growing up. As the oldest, I was the first to do a lot of things including being able to attend college. College sometimes has the tendency to completely consume your thoughts and actions but taking the time to relax and spend some time at home was always worth it. Its amazing how fast children grow and mature. Sometimes this isn’t apparent when they are right in front of you but take a month or two and the differences are easily detected. I am certainly guilty of always looking forward to the next thing I have to do in life that sometimes I forget to enjoy the moment at hand. My family helped me do this and more as they have supported me every step of the way. These are the things that I will never forget and they have shaped me into the person I am today.
