Chris Hooper

Chris started his career working in a gym of all places. It was here he learnt the ins and outs of small business. After struggling to get his head around the idea of bookkeeping, GST and tax, he approached several accounting firms for assistance. Frustrated by the outcomes of the encounters, he decided that he would go to university and figure it out for himself.

His accounting education started at in 2006 at South Australian Institute of Business and Technology where he was awarded a Diploma of Business. Since then he has gone on to obtain a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of South Australia majoring in Accounting and a minoring in Applied Finance. He is currently studying Graduate Diploma in Chartered Accounting with the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia.

During his university studies he took a job a mid-tier accounting firm in Adelaide. He would spend two years in business advisory providing full service administration and compliance services to his clients. His passion for investment markets would take him into a superannuation specialty.

In 2011 Chris was offered a position as partner at Cirillo Computer Accounting and the business was restructed to become Cirillo Hooper & Company.

Chris has previously held an honorary board position on The South Australian Council of Social Services: Youth Business Roundtable committee and was one of the co-founders of The Startup Club. He currently volunteers his skills in an executive treasury board position within the SAUCNA Inc; a not for profit sports association.

Chris is natural leader and is passionate about the professional services sector.
