Chris Hynes

Chris is passionate about strengthening communities. He loves working with others in order to help people meet their needs and values working from a critical and structural perspective.
Currently a Master of Social Work candidate, he has done anti-poverty policy work, as well as deliver frontline services.
Chris has worked on several projects and services to improve student experience such as access to public transit and keeping food on the shelves at the campus Food Bank.
During his time as a post-secondary student, Chris has been an ardent advocate for student rights and access to education. As a full-time executive officer for his student union, he has worked hard to ensure that student voices are heard at the local, provincial, and federal level.
Chris speaks English, French, and Spanish and lived in South America for two years. He is proudly queer and believes that individuals should be engaged in bettering themselves by working to improve their communities.
