I am an international citizen, holding both a Canadian and Hong Kong passports. I'm currently studying in the University of Victoria, pursuing a B.A degree in Political Science.
Locally, I am involved in multiple clubs and course unions within UVIC, holding executive positions for both the Undergraduates of Political Science (UPS), the university’s Poli-Sci course union, as well as the UVIC Model United Nations Club (UVICMUN). I serve as the Director of Social Media within the UPS, and the Fundraising and Special Events Minister for UVICMUN. Additionally, I am serving as a committee director for the local Victoria Model United Nations (VICMUN) 2015 conference, and also a member of the conference planning board for the Canadian Political Science Students Association (CPSSA) 2016 conference. Internationally, I volunteer as a staff member in the North West Model United Nations 2015 (NWMUN) conference in Seattle, serving as the Reporting and Documentation Manager.
During highschool, I spent two years working as a sales associate in Footlocker. I learnt invaluable communications skills, such as how to successfully pitch a sale to a complete stranger. Furthermore, during my time in Footlocker, I delivered consistent results by obtaining top sales and also received employee of the month in numerous occasions.
During the summer of 2015, I had the opportunity to obtain an internship as a personal assistant with one of the District Councillors in Hong Kong. During that time, I learnt about how to operate in an office condition and got a taste of the 9-5 lifestyle.
After I get my degree in Political Science, I aspire to go straight into law school to become a lawyer, where I will be focusing on one of my passions, international relations.
