Chris Scanlon

As an undergraduate I studied counseling, poetry, and human services. As a graduate student, I explored areas like LGBT topics in higher education, teaching and learning in collegiate contexts, graduate preparation programs in student affairs, and various leadership development theory. Beyond the classroom I continue to play hockey and ask foodie questions to anyone who will listen in the North End. In my current role in residence life, I especially enjoy the challenge of trying to weave these topics into my daily work. I'm fortunate to work in student affairs where I have a chance to be around talented, bright, and dedicated students on a daily basis in downtown Boston. Interacting with new people rejuvenates me both professionally and personally. I've had the chance to live in, visit, and work in new places and hear from people who have fascinating stories to share. These folks have exposed me to new ideas and ways of thinking that continue to shape my identity today.
