Chris Koens is a designer, marketer, writer, and educator living & working in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Although trained as a graphic designer, his career has taken him into several areas throughout the intertwined world of communications. For over 20 years, Koens has focused on marketing, sales, and social media in industries as diverse as athletic apparel, furniture, healthcare, financial services, and fashion; he even worked as an adjunct professor at both Ferris State University and Grand Valley State University. Koens is currently the COO of a Talent Matching company and co-founder of a boutique design & marketing firm.

Koens has a passion for using design thinking to assist organizations and individuals in solving problems creatively.
