Chrislann Ocampo is a proud Philipino freelance sports journalist with over 12 years experience. When his mother asked him what he wanted to do after a broken leg on the basketball court had laid him up in a hospital bed, he told her “get better, and get back.” While sadly his leg injury kept him from the professional level, his passion for basketball never dwindled; he graduated from University of Manila with a BSc in journalism 6 years later, intent on diving back into the sports world he missed so much. Since then, Chrislann has covered games, issues and intersport drama around the globe and built a reputation as a reliable contributor with fresh writing. He still plays basketball every week with his son on their backyard court in Manila, where he lives with his wife and two daughters.
