Chris Laukenmann

Chis Laukenmann is an accomplished business lawyer, and a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP, a major international law firm. He is based in Los Angeles, and holds over two decades of experience in advising Fortune 500, middle market and emerging growth companies on a broad range of issues, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, securities, finance, private equity, venture capital, governmental and regulatory compliance across industries. Chris graduated from the highly competitive Pine Crest boarding school at the top of his class, and received a B.A., J.D., and L.L.M. from Duke University.

Prior to his Partnership with Foley & Lardner, Chris Laukenmann occupied several high-profile legal positions. He began his career as a Cross-Border M&A Attorney with Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP and Loeb & Loeb LLP, before serving as a Litigation and Trial Attorney with Duane Morris LLP. Chris then took a position with Washington Mutual as the company’s Vice President/Legal, where he was responsible for a host of legal issues relating to banking, finance, real estate, insurance, governance, and risk management.

In 1997, Chris Laukenmann began acting as AGC and divisional general counsel of Transamerica/Aegon, where he was in charge of asset management, structured finance, investment funds and management, municipal bonds, and derivatives. Chris then took a position as Partner with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, a leading global law firm, where he continued to offer and develop his broad legal expertise.
