Chris Lisi began her career in the political arena on the ground level, volunteering for the 1996 Clinton-Gore campaign while attending Rutgers University. Her work caught the eye of senior members of Vice President Gore's staff – leading to a White House internship, and Chris’s first foray into Washington politics. Today, Chris manages her own consulting practice, Lisi Communications. For more than a decade, she has helped shape the public relations, marketing, and public affairs agendas of world-class organizations. Her specialty is bridging the private and public sectors – leveraging her relationships and keen insights as a Washington insider to deliver high-impact, award-winning campaigns for corporate, nonprofit, and government clients. Chris has spearheaded business development efforts for Washington firms specializing in public affairs, speechwriting, and grassroots and advocacy. She has organized high-profile D.C. events, bringing together representatives from nearly every facet of Washington life -- Members of Congress, leaders of corporations and think tanks, political columnists, and other respected authorities from the world of ideas. She has also managed media outreach for clients ranging from high-level foreign government officials to Fortune 500 CEOs. Last year, as the Peace Corps 50th Anniversary Director, she oversaw the federal agency's yearlong 50th Anniversary commemoration, for which she managed dozens of events around the world. In addition to running a successful consulting firm, she volunteers her time to serve as a member of First Lady Michelle Obama’s advance team, assisting with coordinating events and traveling across the U.S. and overseas as part of the White House's delegation. Before launching Lisi Communications, Chris served as Vice President for The Glover Park Group’s public affairs division. In that capacity, she started and co-led the healthcare practice, which meant her overseeing a wide range of projects, including crafting a D.C.-focused, brand-building strategy for a leading technology company; supervising reputation management for a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company; developing executive positioning for a national health insurer; and managing crisis communications for a blue-chip technology company.
