Chris Maloy
Since 1985, Chris Maloy has dedicated his career to aiding adults with cognitive disabilities. A Psychologist for a developmental service organization in central New York, Chris Maloy is equipped with an extensive psychological background and is a highly regarded member of the team. Completing his undergraduate studies at Clark University, Chris Maloy received his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Psychology. He also holds a graduate degree in Educational Psychology and Statistics from the State University of New York at Albany. During this time, Chris Maloy published an article in the Chatham Courier about the effects automobile junkyards have on the environment. Chris Maloy has many responsibilities within the organization and contributes to several aspects of program operations. Individually, he works with clients with aggressive and self-abusive behaviors, as well as those with mental illnesses such as Depression, Schizophrenia, and Personality Disorders. Chris Maloy administers standardized psychometric measures and directs treatment plans while keeping thorough individualized documentation on progress. Additionally, Chris Maloy consults with direct care staff and clinical team members on behavioral issues and client progress. In 1999, Chris Maloy presented the agency-wide workshop to fellow clinicians and administrators. His seminar regarded anti-psychotic and behavior control medications prescribed by psychiatrists, understanding the inherent dangers of such medicine as well as the integral role they can play as an adjunct to behavioral programming. Chris Maloy is a former member of The National Association for the Dually Diagnosed, an organization of psychologists who work for adults with developmental disabilities. Similarly, Chris Maloy was a member of the American Psychological Association.
