Chris McFarland

Denver, Colorado, United States

I am a Texas native who has moved around the world and back. Now residing in the Rocky Mountain High of Colorado, I have spent my 13 year career in the Energy Industry from offshore oil and gas, to water, to wind power, and is currently working in onshore gas and oil transmission pipelines and facilities. My career has taken me from my hometown of Houston, Texas to Sydney Australia and now Denver, Colorado.

I have worked for both small engineering startups and large multi-national firms. While there are benefits to both, I find the most rewarding work is when I am part of a high functioning team whose passion and commitment drive innovation.

Outside of work I have a passion for aviation and travel photography. I achieved my pilot's license in 1998 and currently hold a commercial multi-engine license with an instrument and seaplane rating. With the freedom of flying, I have developed a passion for travel. In 2015 I visited Australia, Italy and Honduras - and I consider that to be a slow year for international travel.

When I am at home, I try my best to perfect my BBQ skills - mostly on Texas style brisket.
